Got a letter saying I'm getting 600$ as my government stimulus check. It'll be here by the 13th...dudes it's already the 14th. I'll believe it when I see it. Betting student loans take it all.

Last night's Dr Who was so much fun. I LOVE Agatha Christie. This was such a fun take on Agatha's RL mystery. And at least Donna is shaping up. She's been such a dimwit. I mean we finally got rid of that sniveling idiot Rose and got Martha who was both beautiful and smart so I guess that means she had to go... At least Donna was less dumb than she has been in the past. Still whiney though. And God Tennant weighs nothing at all and what few stone he does weigh is all eyeball

The one thing I was really disappointed in was Winry not learning how badly Ed was hurt. I didn't expect Ed to tell her but i was hoping she'd notice during the tune up...I know it's technically a shonen story but that seemed like such a missed opportunity. And I forgot to mention my love of Arakawa's art. She's AGING the characters. You see that so rarely (Blood + springs to mind but damn Kai seemed to age 10 years in one). Kudos for that

also i slept nearly 10 hours last night (double what I usually sleep) and feel like i could sleep 10 more. Probably coming down with something.

Also realized if I expanded a cut scene from one of my novels it would fit nicely into a Circlet erotica anthology (that's why it was cut, too sexy for the rest of the book). So there might be another erotic short story for you all to volunteer for (same rules apply)

Yeah, Winry should've noticed the scar. I'm sure Ed has a new one.

Something needs to be done about that...Hmm.

So much for Granny giving them time alone. When she finds out I'm sure she'll give him a a third scar to go with it. >_< Your icon is awesome!

Well, if Winry and her mom inherited their looks from her she definitely was. But from the reaction of the men that knew her you'd think she eats hearts for breakfast. >_<

PS: I just noticed Ed's TALLER then WInry in this chapter! *Ed does happy dance*

Ed: "Boobs and height. Doesn't get better then this." :D

I think Granny tossed them around in bed so hard, she scared them

Probably. I think the whole stimulus thing is a bad idea. Just reeks of the Futurama episode where Nixon's Head does a crooked tax cut to stay in office.... Doctor Who was quite wonderful! I'm so happy that Agatha Christie was willing to do something like that. And then Tennant saying that she was the best-selling author in the universe....I believe it. I haven't read any of her books yet but my mom loves playing the pc games that are based off of her books. I taped the episode for her so she could watch it since she's not much of a Who fan.

I'd volunteer for the story but Father's Day is dragging me along preparing for it. Vacuuming and all that gadgetry. I'm still not sure if I should wrap the FD present I got for my dad or not. o.0 I don't think we even have wrapping paper.....

Agatha Christie were some of the first adult books I ever read back in second grade. I ought to reread them as an adult!

I'm handing dad money. Go buy yourself what you want. He wants a camera. He's been researching it forever. Let him get what he wants.

the stimulus checks rather piss me off since we BORROWED the money in order to give it out

I think I need to start reading her books as well. My other authors have stagnated to the point I haven't even bothered picking up their new books.

My dad would let a gift card sit and rot and he'd refuse me taking him out to dinner or giving him money. He's one of those that likes showing things off to people so I got him a set of beer glasses.....at least I know he'll use them.

Really. I still can't understand why some people want to vote for McCain. The guy drives me nuts. He's a POW so he knows what those poor kids in Iraq are going through and yet he wants to leave them there? I really think that him wanting to stay in the war is a whole ego thing. I'm just waiting for him to point at baby/granny/somebody and say 'This person is a terrorist! He/she does not think like me!'

i'm not talking politics. Both sides utterly disgust me

Dad usually likes gifts but at this point what's left to get him?he's retired, doesn't need stuff for the office and hell he doesn't DO anything so...

One of my co-workers got her check the Monday after the letter said it was going to arrive.

As for aging characters, one of the best examples I've read/watched (I watched all of the anime and only read the early volumes of the manga afterward) is Hikaru no Go. I was looking for some visual examples and came across this lj post (http://telophase.livejournal.com/184933.html) that shows it very well.

And yeah, she should have noticed the scar. You gotta figure she known his body better then he does (oooo... the fic ideas that could drive).

hmm that's true, it probably slipped my mind since i found Deathnote so incredibly boring.

and yes that could drive a lot of fic

You're lucky...I've not even received a letter stating I'll be getting any money. Way back when they announced this would happen my exact words were 'yeah I ain't holdin' my breath.'

I'm jus doubting I personally will get one because of my situation

I seem to be the only one around here who hasn't received even a letter. Taking the typical Missourian stance on this one. "Show me."

they seem to be doing them in bunchs. I'm one of the last in my family to get them

Like I said...I'm not holding my breath on it. Been financially screwed over so much in the past year and a half, it's just easier for me to not even look forward to breaking even...or getting something. NSTAFL.
