Flag Drabbles
Jul. 7th, 2008 04:19 pmmy somewhat warped take on the 'flag' prompt at

New Car Smell – Post Series - Giles
It was exactly what he wanted. He was past the stage of ‘I’m having a mid-life crisis so I need a sports car to compensate.’ He wanted something practical but it needed to at least be cute. He’d never hear the end of it if he bought something homely. It was small enough that he wouldn’t be roped into playing chauffer to a passel of young Slayers. And yet it was cool enough to have been featured in many movies. Giles ran a hand over the union jack on the top of the red Mini Cooper. It just felt right.
Abbey House Gardens – Post Series Buffy & Giles
When Buffy learned they’d be investigating the Abbey House Gardens to track down a disturbance, she had been thrilled. For once, something that wanted out in the sunlight and bonus, beautiful gardens to just chill in. Willow and Dawn kept up a constant chatter about what they might find; pixies, sprites, Bendith Y Mamau, the Green Man. Willow was excited by it.
None of them had been prepared for the horrors. Bad enough they caught Giles and his buddies parading around in their undies. True terror set in when those union jack boxers lowered. Who knew it was clothing optional?
This way came about after the article on it in my Sunday paper www.abbeyhousegardens.co.uk
Flag waving - Connor – in Quor-Toth
At first Stephan hadn’t wanted to do as Father asked. Killing was hard enough but the child accepted that as necessary. When Stephan turned squeamish at the thought of taking a trophy, Father’s punishment had been severe. Explanations as to why had been slow in coming.
Stephan considered the horn he was drilling into with a hard stone so he could hang it on his bandolier. He no longer hesitated at the taking of the trophies. He was a soft, fang-less, unclawed creature. These trophies were like waving a flag in the demons’ faces. Come get me if you dare.

Date: 2008-07-07 10:19 pm (UTC)The Giles ones were very cute. And, yeah, I'd be a little traumatized too to see my mentor sans boxers. LOL
