Another day, another day not getting crap done. Got stuck at work until two because a) HUGE problems with the school. i'll be surprised if i have a job soon. I need to look harder to get out of here.

b) my computer took TWENTY minutes to boot. I call up IT and said fix it by next week or replace it. So they're going to 'reimage it' whatever the hell THAT means. WHat it meant to me was i had to back up the entire hard drive because it'll be gone. Whimpers. Thank god my secretary had an external hard drive that i could dump to

but then of course since i was only stopping in for 10 minutes i brought no lunch. FOUR hours later I'm still there. My sugars got screwed again so now cleaning is going slow. couldn't figure out the cramping stomach and splitting head until Irealized i jetted out of here without caffeine. Because again I was going to be gone atbest a half hour including the drive. I'm such an addict

the upside? If i EVER become a best selling author i just found about fourteen half started novels and countless short stories to fall back on. Including a lot of M/M stuff back from the late 80's when I was selling that sort of thing under a pseudonym i no longer even remember. Adrian something or other

Re-imaging is a pain in the ass. It does wipe out everything and then re-adds the standard software. Any you saved special will be history.

well i uploaded ALL my lectures to our R drive (which stores them when i teach) AND to the external drive so they're in two places. if it makes the compute ractually WORK

yeah, i had to do this to the computer I just replaced. It never worked right from the factory and Dell wouldn't stand behind it. Eventually I reformatted the hard drive took it back to 'new' and it was fine for years

I think your next "quick" stop at school needs to be accompanied by a four course meal. Because you *know* if you pack it then you actually will be in and out in 10 minutes!
