I knew I should have just gotten up. I woke like an hour and a half before my alarm. If I sleep just an hour I inevitably remember my dreams and they're usually haunted. (it's one of the reasons I don't nap) but today I was too tired to stay awake. So of course I had a bad dream.
 I don't remember it except for the beautiful young girl, prehaps Hindustani, who crossed over to her boyfriend's mother to explain to this very stern woman that she was his girlfriend. A haunting melody began to play as she moved and by the time she got to the mother's side, looking around wildly for her boyfriend, she was heavier, and about forty years older, her hair now deranged, dull, streaked with grey, her dark skin wrinkled. She started telling the mother not to interfere with them, breaking them up because she had had it happen before and the man killed himself. That's when the song roared into the foreground, drowing everything out. I'm losing the melody now that I'm awake but not the lyric 'by sorrow's own hand, he took his life' (which sounds terribly familiar) then the alarm went off.

Hmm, listening to the radio, I want to Come Over is on. This is such a perfect shippy song for a lot of Buffy characters (and I'm talking straight canon) Buffy hiding Angel/Spike, Willow hiding Tara, Xander hiding Cordy, Cordy hiding Connor and on we go. I need to go get my tea. My brain's overheating.

And dang if the needle didn't tear a hole in my finger this morning. must have managed to hit something i shouldn't have since it wouldn't stop bleeding, swelled up and is now blue (i.e. I ruptured the stupid vein) But my sugar was right back down to normal and none of those weird spikes like last night and I'm still trying to figure out how carb free bok choy and egg rolls managed to drive it up over 200. I mean there's not that many carbs in an egg roll wrapper
