1. NCIS - You're not cheery enough to be Abby, but you've got that same curiosity. And you're not computernerdish enough to be McGee. Let's say a bastard love child between the two.

2. Buffy - You're gonna hit me, but I'd SO say Ethan. Just not quite so evil.

3. Angel - Cordelia. Before she turned into the glowworm scary thing.

4. Heroes - Hiro. Just maybe not as exuberant.

5. Dresden Files (books not tv) - No clue. But the library gave me the first book today.

6. Fullmetal Alchemist - Olivia. You'd totally smash Johnny down to protect him (and have fun doing it).

7. Star Trek the Next Generation - Uhhhh...*thinks* I want to go with Worf.

8. Deep Space Nine - I never, ever saw an episode.

9. Saiyuki - Sanzo. Totally.

10. Criminal Minds - I never, ever saw an episode.

Cordy. Not about the clothes but about the "I'm always right" and "I'm in charge here".

Sanzo does fit all too well. Except for the chain smoking.

I think Abby is absolutely adorable.

as do I (incidentally I was briefly a forensic science major)

From: [identity profile] marynachaotica.livejournal.com
Doesn't surprise me that you tried that major. It can be a fascinating science...if you can get past mans inhumanity to man and the gross situations one will sometimes find oneself in.

I worked for a time as a Paramedic, and it always shocked me to see what humans could do to one another.

the school hadn't been entirely honest with me and I hadn't done my research well after I was injured b ut as it turned out my hand would never have held up to the rigors.

paramedic work is also interesting

From: [identity profile] marynachaotica.livejournal.com
Paramedic work is physically and emotionally taxing. I had several paramedic friends commit suicide. One friend worked such a horrific wreck she walked away from the shift and never went back.

When I shattered my ankle it ended that career.

nods, shattered my ankle once as a kid

People don't realize that walking backwards takes time after shattering an ankle!

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
to be honest, it was never an issue for me

From: [identity profile] marynachaotica.livejournal.com
I was quite famous at college, and before, for being able to walk backwards....carry on a conversation and keep track of my position...

When the ankle was shattered....*sigh*...

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
no what i meant was I had no difficulty doing it after the fracture none whatsoever

From: [identity profile] marynachaotica.livejournal.com
What portion of your ankle got shattered? Mine involved the fibula and talus....OYE! PLUS I ripped the muscles.

Did you know dachshunds dig holes that are just THE right size for a foot to go down into!? And if you hit said hole at a full out run....OMG! the pain...was...tremendous...and I screamed. A lot.

Date: 2008-12-13 04:03 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
6 bones, two breaks in the tiba, one in the fibula, the talus, a diastasis of the interosseus membrane base of the fifith.

I got my laces caught in bike spokes and when the bike shot out from me it spun my ankle clear around then I walked on it for about two-three days

From: [identity profile] marynachaotica.livejournal.com
*turning ashen*

*swallowing hard*

You walked on...

WHY!?

Date: 2008-12-13 04:16 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
my parents didn't think it was broken. It didn't swell much...until day three when it broke out in fracture blisters. And I'm real good with pain.

Date: 2008-12-13 04:30 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] marynachaotica.livejournal.com
My pain threshhold didn't become elevated until after I had the hysterectomy. Then I had to have training, from my mother, on how to recognize when my body was in pain. Mom had a tremendously high pain threshhold...the time she'd start to feel things would be the time when others would be convulsing or unconscious from it.

Broken ankle happened about a year before the surgery.

Now if I say 'ouch' it's because no it doesn't hurt (98% of the time) but it's because I know it SHOULD probably hurt and it's an automatic 'ouch okay this might be a problem'

But as for your ankle....nope sorry, if I had a kid and they described an incident like that...they're going in for xrays!

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
didn't tell them what i did. Just that i fell off the bike. If i said what i did, i'd be in trouble

Date: 2008-12-13 05:06 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] marynachaotica.livejournal.com
Why would you have been in trouble? I mean my gosh accidents happen...especially with kids and their bicycles! My mother would have listened to the scenario, examined my ankle and gone into debt (well more than we already were) to fix the problem.

Of course she was used to me falling out of trees, out of haybarns, down stairs, off horses, down the side of hills...and one time a quite spectacular crash involving a snowsled and a tree. *LOL* I was her tomboy. Or as I overheard her bragging to a friend "my fey child tomboy"

"Why did you jump from the tree?" "Tree told me to" "Ok so why so high up?" "Because I could" *grinning*
(Actually it started out as a jump, but I tripped)

Date: 2008-12-13 05:50 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
because i usually provoked the accident

Yeah but see that's part of being a kid!

This is hard because you're very unique..

1. Abby Sciuto, only less hyper

2. Willow.. or maybe Katrina

3. Lilah.. only less evil

4. Simone, only less hated by fans, heh

And I don't know the others..

Simone was cool.. she was all logical but had that artsy side to her, and all the boys she liked were all emo in that daddy issue way.

Yep, yep.. reminds me of someone.. heh.

Also, I has stolen your meme. Haha.. you're not getting it back now! ;P

I love troi's mom! She's just so brassy and cool.

Sadly I disliked Kira but i can see why you'd pick her

you should try NCIS

I liked Jenny and you know really Ando isn't so bad. He's about the ONLY one I don't want to punch. Worf was hot

lyrangalia: (seasonal)

I might, if it's on Hulu. I don't watch TV off the screen anymore.

The boy's description of Ando is "He's just a good dude. Ando's got the ability of being a good dude."
Which is practically sainthood given the alternatives.

dunno. I've never seen the allure of giving up my huge screen and comfy couch for squinting at a little monitor (that and well dial up)

I like the boy's description
