So what else happened today? Had to go get my blood drawn and have at CT scan to see if the adrenal tumor and/or kidney cysts haven't gotten bigger. Nothing by mouth since midnight and it's now 10 AM. I'm dehydrated. Finding a vein was a thrill. Bah. Then i had to drink about 800ML of radioactive barium (berry flavored for my pleasure....). Wait an hour, go in and get my iv placed for the contrast dye.

This dye is the best part. Okay you'll feel it getting warm...if it burns tell me. You'll get a funny taste in your mouth then a warmth in your throat that rolls down you making you feel like you wet your pants says the tech. Thanks for the warning. Ah there's the taste, like i've ate the glue off a 1000 envelopes mixed with old pennies, yep the rolling warmth, i'll trust you that I'm not actually peeing my pants since it sure feels like it. I SERIOUSLY want to know the pharmacokinetics and physiology of THIS phenomenon. WHo knows when I'll know something.

The dye however went kaboom at the end and you can see one blue and broken vein from my knuckles to my wrist with a hematoma the size of a grape. my hand hurts.

I'm not even getting into the kid who came in today to take SIX missing exams in one class which means i couldn't put the grades in today. Grrr









here we go again. Think girl thoughts!
