It's Mom's Birthday

mostly all we did was decorate the church with poinsettas and pines and then go out to eat for her birthday at Olive Garden. Somehow this consumed the whole day (oh there was some NCIS marathon watching too.)

Speaking of the church, God tried to kill me today. It's my job to do all the windows which consists mosttly of wreaths then placing real pines and decorating them (this year I went with silk poinsettas). Anyhow, I need nippers for the pines to get them in shape. I started to put it in my pocket when the nippers opened up, caught my wrist and CLOSED, slicing my wrist open. Luckily it was shallow but it was right over the big blue vein. It looks like I watched It's a Wonderful Life one too many times and tried the easy way out.

Is desperately trying to finish one more holiday fic. Expect Hyperion's Son before New Year's but probably not until after Christmas. Sorry.

I am more than happy to wait for some HS. And I am glad you didn't do any real damage. Years ago artist!sis was using an Exacto knife and it slipped, cutting her wrist. Thank G-d her boyfriend was there, because she took one look and fainted. He got her over to the hospital for stitches.

luckily the cut is smaller than that but yeah, i cut myself once so bad I had to put in my own stitches

and thanks for understanding about HS. Seriously the realization of a day or so ago about not being home one weekend since Sept explains why i am so far behind right now
