Discover card has made the list

of cards soon to be fucking canceled. When I started in OH I had like no money especially after 4 years of working min. wage while trying to pay a lot of things stemming from my injury so mom used her discover card checks with zero percent interest (so long as you never miss a payment) to transfer my high interest accounts and I pay the bill.

Opened up the credit card here and found a) a mystery purchase on a card that is never used b) they RETURNED my online payment with no notice to my email (I keep everything those credit morons send) c) charged me 35$ to return my payment. d) charged me a late fee of 40$.

I would LOVE to know how and why they sent back this money. My account is not overdrawn. trust me you could add a few zero's to the 70$ payment and still be under my account. even if i WERE overdrawn, i have withdrawal protection.

Mom is going to have to pull off a few heads

That's really weird. I've been dealing with Discover for ages, and I've never had a problem with them.

i can't even imagine why they would return a payment from the same account they've taken it frmo for 3 years. I mean it won't even move forward on the payment screens if you made a mistake and then to charge me to return my money!

I don't understand. From your description it sounds like you made a payment, and it was returned. Did the payment not go through for some reason? Was it returned by the bank? Could they not identify who it was for?

As far as the purchase goes, if you didn't make it I'd let them know. Credit card companies are usually good about that sort of thing.

the purchase we figured out was the price of returning my online payment and the resulting late fee. I'll have to call mom to find out WHY since there is actually no recorded at wesbanco's online activity summary (which just let me say is the most user unfriendly online banking I've ever seen). It's the bank I've used for 3 years, the online billpay won't let you forward to the next page if you made an error...it's odd

F bomb is included, you must be pissed. Though I don't blame you, credit card have caused me a load of trouble and if they wereen't needed I wouldn't have them.
