things that made me happy

i was then i wasn't going to mention the various things I've done since Lent began and now I can't remember half of it. But I did volunteer to tutor students on my own time, fished the plastic bottles from the class room trash and walked them the few feet the students weren't to put them in the recycle and took the caps downstairs to toss in the Ronald McDonal House caps for donations bin, added a few more silly save the world apps to Facebook, helped older people with their laundry today and joy of joys Wal-mart's parking lot is now graced by cardboard recycle. My school put one in but they shoved it down a Do Not Enter access road that even if you DO enter it you have to back out onto the highway. Having this up at Wally's with all my other recycleables makes me happy.

I needed that happy. I was debating going to Krogers or not (since i was tired and I wanted to work on a lecture) I hit CVS first. Who knew my insulin was 200$. holy hell. after dropping 400$ at CVS I didn't feel like food so no Krogers

ROy is back from his 36 hour soujourn but now he and Kyo are hellbent on killing each other. I'm hoping after Kyo gets neutered much of this very rough play will come to an end. Especially since Kyo acts like he's being murdered. Then again Roy doesnt' want to stay in the house much any more and he WAS somewhere else. He smells like a cigarette. I really do need to talk to the neighbors about letting him stay with them.

I was mentioning to my best friend from college about submitting to Samhain and she said here's hoping you'll get noticed this time. I said that'll be my luck. I've published horror and urban fantasy before but nothing ever took off but gay erotica, watch me soar... her response paraphrasing Capt Jack from Pirates of C., but they will know you!

I bought a book today that you may want to borrow: Knitting for Peace. It would go well with you Lent activities. :D

The book talks about different charities, what they do to help others, etc. and has a few patterns: socks, afghans, mittens, teddy bears, hats, etc. Very nice. :)

Kyo should mellow out both as he gets older and after he gets neutered. But he and Roy are probably still going to have some sparring I suspect, because they're both male cats. If one of them was female then there would have been snuggling.
