I just didn't feel like combining everything into one post today.

The biggest ugh was the hateful old man who went to kill people at the Holocaust museum. Nearly 90 years old and he still has that much hate burning him up. It's pathetic. Mom and I were talking about it and she said rather sadly, 'Roddenberry's world was just a pretty dream, we'll never have that sort of happy future where we get along.' No mom, the oldest clay tablets known have four things on them, religion politics, economy and war and using the first three to justify the last.

I went to the office to play around and saw the greenhouse is once again malfunctioning. Only half the watering system is working and some of my stuff cooked. The rose is nearly dead, some tomatoes are the size they were when i put them there and others are towering.

It won't stop raining here. At least the perennial garden I put in here is doing well as a result.

I scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom today...my arms are now numb and my back is cramping up. Mom says to get a maid, not 100% serious but it's frustrating knowing that the arthritis in my spine is this bad and I'm only 41 (okay 42 in ONE week, sob). I don't like feeling like I can't even clean up after myself.

well at least the next post will be cheerier

Right with you on the hateful old man. Mom and I listened to the news at dinner and she asked the same thing I wanted to know - how did no one notice him walking around with a rifle?

The announcer said just a few seconds later that "You can see his car sitting at the curb," so I'm guessing he just left the car and ran up (the steps?), ducked inside and started shooting.

And they put down animals for being crazy. *headshake*

the scarier thing is that you know there are people out there lauding him as a hero

That is beyond awful about the Holocaust Museum shooting.

Wasn't the Rosetta Stone basically a three ways translated recipe for beer though?

Hmmm You know i'mnot sure about the rosetta stone. I thought it had to do with doing business but i could be wrong

snort, sort of goes into my theory that we've been whinging about politics, religion and economy since we first learned to make marks

I agree with you on the hateful old man, on the need for cleaning/inability to get this done effectively oneself, and on the upcoming birthday.

Mine's Friday, but I'm still a year behind you. :-p

*g*

Happy birthday!

That absolutely floored me. The guy is a total flake... a well educated POS but a flake none the less.

one has to wonder if he just learned he was dying of something and wanted to make one last mark on the world since he was like what? 89 years old

The shooting really pissed me off. What I wanna know is If he's that angry why did he wait that long to do it? Hate screws logic.
