The Tale of the stupid bunny (complete with picutres)

So today I was watering plants for mom. The plant at the front of the house was broken down a bit and there was fur in it.I thought maybe a bird had tried to make a nest in the flowers. I watered it and the ground started heaving. Shocked, I leaned down and peered closely. To my utter surprise I saw this.

BABY BUNNIES. Now who the heck makes a nest in a planter right next to the front door where people are always coming in and out of? Note the garage where my dad has been working every day, remodeling it and making all sorts of noise and dirt.

And if if that's not stupid enough, how did Momma Bunny not smell the presence of Lord Lardbottom , I mean Rogue? I mean eventually he'll come out of the Cat Cave and might get a taste for tender hausenpffer.

On one of the blogs I read, the author has been chronicling the idiot birds that prefer nesting in her planters and old grill to building nests in the nice, safe birdhouses she put out.

I wish dumb Mama Bunny and her babies well, and I hope they take to their little hoppy heels quickly enough to evade Rogue.
