I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Every time I try to cut them I get an error and it doesn't work. SORRY.

Here's my new home that my friend is letting me stay in for a little while. The first two pictures are of the woods behind the house where I hike complete with a birch tree pecked to death by yellow belly sap suckers

Then some more woods, this is where I hike up the road when I'm on my mile-long excursions plus two shots of Spur Lake which is where the duck hunters scared the crap out of me today. Oh and all the green stuff in the lake? That's wild rice. I could harvest it now because the Indigenous tribes are done with the lake's harvest.

And now you know where I'm talking about when I talk about where I live. Oh and there'll be more pictures. I just didn't want this thing to get too huge

indeed they are. I quite like them...I'd like them better if something cultural wasn't a 3-4 hour drive away

Yes, it is a trade-off, isn't it? Here in the City with the museums and the Opera and the Indy theaters.

And sadly the only woods in sight are woods I'm likely to get mugged in. And they don't isolate me from sirens.

that's not good. Some places like Madison, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee you can live about 20 miles outside the city and be in nice rural areas with pretty woods and be a short drive into the fun stuff of the city.

Regardless, I'm just glad I'm out of Florida

That's true in SF as well. At least, I'm told there's some great hiking trails just up in Marin County. I have a friend who knows some of those trails, and I might go hiking with her in November.

There you go. SOunds like fun. Yeah on big trails I wouldn't go alone. I don't like going alone here either but since I'm just in a half mile of the house i'm not too worried
