1) I was only 19 when I interviewed with medical schools. I wish I never had. I wish I had never become a doctor. Surprised? Don't be. Very few of you knew me then. Don't get me wrong I liked treating patients....sometimes. Often they were frustrating but nothing like the malpractice and paperwork ends where a few wrong lines ina note could wind you up in court at the losing end of a million dollar lawsuit. Not to mention the student loans that ruined my life. I still need to become the next Stephanie Meyers or I will spent my last days in a state run welfare home and I'm not joking about that. I owe THAT much money.
2) I wish I hadn't let the kids in high school get to me so badly. I literally hate them to this day. It was an awful time that I almost didn't survive. I was Willow without a Buffy and Xander and magic. It was brutal

You just can't be an intelligent introvert and succeed socially, especially when social success is measured in the number of keg parties you get wasted at. I confess I had a privileged position in high school, though, since my dad was a teacher there and the mean kids didn't dare pick on me in front of him. I'm guessing that saved me a ton of grief. I had most of my social problems in middle school, but kids that young aren't really that sophisticated at bullying yet, and looking back, some of the things they did to make my twelve-year-old self miserable seem almost comical now, which definitely takes the sting out of the memories.
