Poor Yukio, if things go as planned this is the last big trip we'll take together. He's a good car, he's just getting all sort of high mileage issues. Even though a lot of people can get 200,000+ out of Honda/Toyotas, I've learned I can get 180 and they start nickle and diming me to death at around 150. He's 10 years old and I can't believe that. It feels like I just bought him. I bought him hoping he'd ferry me to all my patient locations (I didn't have an office) even though I had been hurt two months earlier. I was hoping I'd heal. Instead he's ferried me from Wisconsin to Florida back to Wisconsin and now to Ohio. I don't think he qualifies as a clunker in spite his age because he's a high m.p.g. car and can be resold for thousands in spite his mileage (I looked up his value, around 3,500)

LJ is driving me nuts since I can't respond to emails and it's very slow to come up but I guess I can't blame it. It's been under attack ala Twitter and Facebook. I'd love ten minutes in a locked room with a bat with these hackers.

I'm afraid my 11-year-old Nissan truck is reaching the same point, but I can't afford to replace it. She's been the best vehicle I've ever owned, but after a while the major parts start to wear out. :/

Actually Yukio wore out early. my first year working full time after my injury it blew out the catalytic converter, two oxygen sensors, oil pan and tail pipe. It cost me half the price of a replacement

It's been annoying me, too. Every time I go to look at someone's picture or read someone's story (the reason I didn't comment on your last one, BTW), I get the "cannot find server" error... grrr).

My Nissan hit 170,000 miles before it started nickle and diming me badly. Now I've got a Ford Focus, which gets almost as good gas mileage and doesn't have all the annoying little problems of the Sentra -- but I didn't have to make payments on the Sentra!
