Writerly Ways redux
Aug. 25th, 2009 05:40 pm Nothing stinks like a pile of unpublished writing - Sylvia Plath
Boy was she right about that so that brings me to this. I know if I hold off on this until Sunday I'll forget or lose the magazine or something. I got this month's issue of Writers' Digest and it had a few intersting things including 24 agents who are looking for new writers. Most of my genres aren't contained here (figures) but Iknow my friends DO have novels in these realms so I thought I'd write out their wants and their websites (but not all the what they don't want and how to send since i figure that will be on their sites).
Emmanuelle Alspaugh Romance, especially historical, paranormal and urban fantasy (but nothing with a hint of mystery or dead bodies in ch. 1)
Danielle Chiotti & Stacia Decker paranormal romance and crime fiction respectively.
Jennifer Laughran childrens and YA, including light fantasy (whatever the hell that is)
Kate McKean paranormal romance, urban fantasy, mystery & YA
Laurie McLean fantasy, sci-fi horror mysteries, new westerns...
Courtney Miller-Callihan historical
Gretchen Stelter YA urban fantasy
Christine Witthohn YA, romance of all kinds
One assumes that WD has done their due dilegence in researching this people.
also it was done by a guy who has an agent's blog, Chuck Sambuchino . I haven't checked all the links yet. if one doesn't work let me know (it's hard to check on dial up)
and apropos of nothing...new dragon eggs.

(girl thoughts)
