Siamese make noise but not as much as birds. My cousin across the street has four of them. They aren't all that loud. They even get along with Tino... though that is because Tino is a superior dog. ;)

Birds, budgies in particular, aren't all that loud either. It's a "low burble". Very easy to tune out and happy.

The cutting/no shows to class I don't understand at all! I went to a SUNY school and I figured out EXACTLY how much money I wasted for each class skipped/missed. ('93-'97) Thirty-seven dollars was way too deep for MY pockets and I didn't DARE waste my parents' money like that. (Then again I took EXTRA classes because other than the books they were FREE after 12 credits!)

wait free? I had to pay EXTRA when I got extra classes (I was working on three degrees at once). Even 10 years is like a lifetime with these kids. Hell I went back to school in 01 when I got hurt and we still took notes the old fashioned way. Now, if you don't just hand it to them and let them pass they get angry

THAT is what I don't GET about the "youth" of today. SURE I'm 34, but REALLY I am NOT all that old.

As for extra classes... I only ever overloaded to 17 or 18 credits. Nothing too insane over 12. ;)

An A or 4.0 is not guaranteed... that is PERFECTION and I just don't see that coming very often anymore.

I suppose I'm old school in thinking that anything worth obtaining COSTS something.

He just always has been. He only meeps when he's locked in a room he wants out of (or reverse that), and he can increase slightly in volume when I ignore him (or he might start to cry when he's lonely, but if I call him he'll hush and come running), but he's not a talker at all. It's our BLACK cats who are loud!

Actually, thinking about it, Kojiki was pretty quiet, too (Snowshoes were bred from Siamese) -- maybe it's the spliced breeds; Cairo's obviously a mutt, but he leans heavily toward the tabby/lilac point.

Of course, all my OTHER lilac/tabby points were noisy (Lester, Leroy, Bernard, etc., etc.), and so was Magnus (flame point), so who knows? Maybe Cairo's just peculiar.

But I've always favored Siamese breeds (maybe it's the blue eyes); Silhouette was an odd choice for me (possibly because he chose me rather than vice-versa).

Russian Blues are noisy, too.

This 9-11 anniversary at least had a happy note (if anything about the day can be happy): It was our first one without the bush administration in the white house. In other words, it was our first one with a real, albeit small, ray of hope that we will get past this, survive, maybe fully recover, and perhaps even focus on the interior enough to save/help millions of our citizens (hello healthcare!).

Oh, I almost forgot about Ghost Hunt! I've just be recycling old anime *is addicted to Saiyuki Reload* while waiting for more of the dubs. I like both versions but I figure how often do we find this quality in Engrish?
