Is a little communication too much to ask for?

Got to work today to see signs everywhere stating that tomorrow we'll be closed out of my building at some undetermined time so they can replace the roof A/C unit and for safety reasons we must be evacuated (persumably fearing the crane will cause our leaky as shit roof to collapse)

This doesn't bother me. It's sensible. However they tell us with only 24 hour notice! Excuse me but i'm betting that crane operator didn't call you up last night and say Wed. is the day. This had to be in the works for a while. FOUR profs are giving a test tomorrow. I jumped on it and got a room in another building but you know if you had just TOLD us this wouldn't be an issue.

I did get my part for the haunted house. I'm the ballroom tech person. Okay I knew i wasn't getting a role (since it was a recurring female so the actresses had to look alike and i'm 20 years too old and fat for that). As one of the few adults, I'm usually the one entrusted with tech stuff anyhow. Doesn't mean I won't get to popp out at people. Just not sure yet what all I'll be doing but last I heard it was the torture room maze (watch it be where the strobes are, ah 4 hours at a clip of strobe lighting)

it should only be for an hour or so but naturaly there's that 4 hour span right during class time...

Geez, it's the opposite at our office -- they warn us MONTHS AND MONTHS in advance so by the time they finally get around to our building it's like, "Oh, yeah... didn't you do that already?!" (They're supposed to be replacing the lights on campus with more efficient "green" lighting -- they started in the parking garages. It'll be weeks before they get to our building.)
