breaking a Nano rule...suggestion...whatever

no rewrites. Had to do it. I decided by revealing something that got revealed in chapter two worked in the short story version but really cut the investigation of the murder short in a novel so I reworked it (and fixed it under the original fiction filter too). But since I got over 500 words out of the rewrite, I don't feel bad.






And how stupidly happy am i that my egg with a villianess mother and was turned into a vampire by Drusilla gendered male. And yes he IS named for Spike...

See, I could never *ever* do that. I could never let people read an early rough draft.

OTOH, you could post the new version and ask people which one they like better.

I'm okay with the early rough drafts because my readers help me fix things. Sometimes i regret it when i see a WTF moment in the text.

I could do that and actually i HAVE in the past but this was a minor enough change that I didn't

One reason I participate in so few writing groups is having someone else read an early draft is paralyzing for me. If I know ahead of time some other human soul might read it, I can't even start writing, or I write something other than what I want to write.

A well-polished draft that in my opinion could be submitted for publication, OTOH, that I will let other people read. Because that's when the feedback, "this isn't ready because of X,Y,Z" is actually news to me.
