Happy Birthday vampedvixen  Hope it's a lot better than you're anticipating.

Anyone remember the Common Good of Life my fic where Connor takes the badly injured Angel and Spike to the Cleveland Hellmouth so Buffy et al can help them after the final battle? This fic is the prequel to that which is now a series. So I bring you the first in the Burrs and Brambles of Life series, The Living Years which is almost a song fic (or is but I hate saying that since it has SUCH a bad connotation and I don't think this is a bad fic at all) Connor pov. Let me know what you think.

ack, as usual these days, I dont have time to read right now *grumblesaboutstupidjobandstupidthesis*, but I had a quick look, and I adore the image of Lorne and Connor working together, just cause they were so antagonistic towards each other, it has a buddy movie kinda vibe to it, love to be a fly in that car, or maybe not. :)

This was really good. It was...hard I guess but I don't mean that in a bad way. It very much had the feel of being from Connor's POV which I guess is why it felt hard to me. I loved your fic The Common Good of Life so it was nice to see how he got there. The song is very appropriate for Connor.

Thanks. Yes this is NOT an easy series (though the B/A one for IWRY is a little less hard than the first two). I definitely thought The Living Years was a good song for those two...now if only I could do vidding.
