“And that is the origin of William the Bloody.” Spike knocked back his beer.

“You are so full of shit,” Angel drank his Guinness. “Dru found him sniveling and she was bored. Besides my son doesn’t need to hear this.”

”I’m interested. He’s just part of my creepy family.” Connor smirked. “I’ve thought about my origins. And I don’t mean for you to tell me about the sex because, ew. Two vampires making a kid?”

“Not normal.”

Angel sighed. “I was trying to save Darla’s life. I couldn’t but I earned a life. You were the result.”

“That’s weird, Dad.”

Hee! I love well-balanced Connor and his matter-of-fact attitude to having superpowers and a vampire dad. And poor Angel, his L.A. Guinness will be super-chilled in a not very Irish way, he'll have to sit and let it warm up for a bit.

L.A. is full of Brits, and Brits love Irish stout, so in my head reading this I imagined that they were in one of the city's British pubs (which nevertheless serve ale and stout far too cold). Spike is probably about to order some pork scratchings (classic pub snack: deep-fried pork rind/fat, comes in a bag like potato chips. Surprisingly nice). And I'm sure they had an argument about whether to go to a fake British or fake Irish pub. XD

Yes - practically writes itself! I think my favourite of their arguments is definitely 'cavemen v. astronauts', though.

Pork scratchings = delicious, I tell you, and a staple of British pub culture. Next you'll be telling me you don't like a bunch of fat men in the corner playing darts. XD

haha, I think there are several staples of the British Culture I wouldn't eat. Actually don't much like pork so....

fat men playing darts, I'm good with that. I used to have my own set (darts that is, the fat men come on their own)
