Highlight of my day

It's not been a stellar day. It's 2 pm and I still haven't had lunch. I went to work early as a favor to someone even though I'm done teaching now (two finals at the end of the week). I didn't mind I had a TON of grading to do.

I got to look at some research projects a former (and very good) nursing class of mine did (the head of nursing at our school's daughter is in the program and ha, she did her project in MY specialty. Wound healing).

And then somehow i entered a time warp and 11:00AM became 2 pm and i stagger home since i must go do laundry.

so where's the highlight? I have an answering machine message from the state highway patrol. Okay that's a little anxiety inducing. WHAT could the cops want with me. I call and find out.

They want to know if my cows are missing since they rounded up a bunch on the highway.

and this is the SECOND time this happened. Last year though, it was the pound asking me if my cows were loose.

Hmm... apartment sized cows = cat size cows and tiny moos. They're fun sized cows!

mine even has almost holstein coloring and he WAS running up the highway (he's an outdoor cat that's lived here longer than me)

It never occurred to me that you might own cows. That's obviously because a cow wandering around where I live would be next to impossible. I say this only because our city's cows are usually found in the frozen section of Kroger or Meijer.

I would, except that I suspect I have IBS and am experiencing a flare-up. I got desperately hungry enough to eat a Klondike bar about two hours ago. I regretted it.

Alas, I am hungry again. I may have to give in and eat dinner. I don't think the casserole made me sick last night. *ponders*

I don't actually own any. I live in an apt...on an old farm and I have to wonder if my number originally belonged to the farm house that's falling down across the road.

I managed to lighten up the icon on a different program. The one I have at home sucks big time.

I think they middling hated it. There wasn't any snarling or hissing, but I think they'd rather not do that again. LOL
