Highlight of my day

cornerofmadnessIt's not been a stellar day. It's 2 pm and I still haven't had lunch. I went to work early as a favor to someone even though I'm done teaching now (two finals at the end of the week). I didn't mind I had a TON of grading to do.
I got to look at some research projects a former (and very good) nursing class of mine did (the head of nursing at our school's daughter is in the program and ha, she did her project in MY specialty. Wound healing).
And then somehow i entered a time warp and 11:00AM became 2 pm and i stagger home since i must go do laundry.
so where's the highlight? I have an answering machine message from the state highway patrol. Okay that's a little anxiety inducing. WHAT could the cops want with me. I call and find out.
They want to know if my cows are missing since they rounded up a bunch on the highway.
