If the devil danced in empty pockets
Jul. 29th, 2011 10:21 pmhe'd have a ball in mine especially after today. I did go to Huntington/Barboursville after my doctor's appt today. (he wasn't too pleased with how high my sugar went post-op). Sadly Hillbilly Hot Dog wasn't open when I flew by, too bad since I was all set to risk my life eating there. No instead I ended up in Chilis. Hillbillies would have been better. OMG, I haven't been to Chilis in a long time but their menu has gotten yucky and expensive and the sandwich I did end up with had this institutional taste that could have been just about anything in that burrito wrap. Blech.
I went into Macy's to look around. What I wanted wasn't on sale. Moved on. the whole freaking mall is being remodeled so it was filled with headache inducing fumes. In spite of claim of everything on sale from 20-40% off in Borders, I found nothing that was anyting but 20% off but since I drove over 70 miles there, I did buy all the manga I would want. Oddly, they had recent issues but not the 2-3 before them but did NOT have those missing issues when i was there in May. WTF? oh we're going out of business let's get the last issues of everything while never carrying any of the ones before them. There was manga in there I had never seen them ever carry.
And why were the freaking local ghost story books thinner than any I've ever seen and all 20$? THanks. No. I'll wait for the Mothman Festival and buy them there signed by the author, thanks.
Then I went to the tea co store and got a rose milk bubble tea only to see that shop is going to move to somewhere downtown Huntington (Empire books, must look that up I guess, chancey move into a bookstore...) So I honestly have NO reason to ever go back to Barboursville mall. I'm not really a clothes shopper. I buy books, music wines and gourmet food. I get the first two online now i suppose. I DID go to Marshall's to look for a lighter colored purse to replace the one Soul pissed on and I can't get the smell out of. Didn't find that but I did find a pearly grey lace skirt that I ended up buying.
I suppose that I need to get an Amazon prime membership. I could get a B&N card but they're ONLY in Columbus (well so was Borders but their card was free) or online and Amazon will give me music and movies so... (B&N wouldn't know a discount on those two if it bit them). I can just buy stuff sans discount the rare times I'm in B&N. Sigh. I hate buying books online.
Got home, accomplished dick all.
The stretch the OT gave me yesterday really worked and it is SO much simplier than the other ones the other OT gave me. Dangling the fucking arm off the bed and let gravity do it. I had almost no pain all day until i sat at the computer. dangled some more. pain dimished. whee.
( day 292, meet hillbilly hot dogs )
Here have the title song. Seriously, the chorus is my life and half my flist's too
