I'm tired. I spray foamed the hole in the bathroom shut. THank god Dad warned me about this stuff. It might clot off. The can says you get one shot at this. A whole paint can sized thing and you're going to use a tiny bit and it's done.

Hell it clotted off in the nozzle but I got it done. THen I spent the night wide awake listening to the mice chew on the foam. I can not live like this.

11. Character you’d become best friends with - Lavi (D.Gray-man)

I'm not even sure why. Well for one, I need that bubbly spirit to bring up my own dour moods. Lavi, being a future bookman, has to have a sharp mind and a love of learning and reading (or else Bookman would never have picked him) so we'd get along in that respect. And he'd be a great friend with benefits.

12. Character with your favorite voice/seiyuu – I have no idea. I don't really pay attention to them unless they totally suck (looking at everyone in the late 80's early 90's, the Fruits Basket crowd and Vic -I can do two emotions, whiny girl and cryby- M.) I guess if i had to pick one it would be Travis but even he sounds like he's reading half the time instead of actually acting.

I TRIED VERY HARD TO FIND HIM FOR YOU LAST NIGHT ON YOUTUBE. Every scene with Joe was him gasping. It was quite depressing.

hahahah i'm surprised you couldn't find him

I kept thinking, "Well, that Youtube has his face plastered on it!"

He'd gasp.

"Maybe this one?"

More gasp.

I was trying to find the one with the VA singing, as he was a pretty famous Japanese vocalist, back in the day. Even the second OP would've been good, because he sang that.

I can't wait to get far enough in D. Gray-man to meet Lavi!

he's easily my favorite. Lenalee is my biggest disappointment. She starts out a stronge female then turns into a crying simp half way in

Yeah, I've been getting the feeling that she's that type....

This is why I love FMA so much, there isn't a single 'typical' anime female in it. Lenalee slips into shojo 'save me' mode so fast and it takes volumes of bound manga before she even hints at getting out of it

Crispin Freeman? He's pretty good.

Well, either him or DAN GREEN who is so cheesy that he's awesome.

one of my friends loves Crispin. He did nothing for me but I didn't hate him so...

I'm not sure I know Dan Green

Yeah. I only knew about him because I watched Yu-gi-oh as a kid (stupid irish children's programming there was nothing else even halfway decent on.).

But he is just awesome. In an oh-god-how-can-anyone-get-away-with-being-so-cheesily-dramatic sort of way=D

now i'm just going to have to look for this.

totally off topic but you might be able to help me since you mentioned Ireland, what do you guys call school for the little kids. Here it's elementary school (or grade school) from ages about 5-12 on average (need it for the detective who's investigating my young seer)

Primary School or National School. 5-12yrs

I'll let you know. I'm working out the slang in the rewrites to Kavanaugh might actually sound like he's not from Wisconsin...

this is a big help. thank you.

Voice actor Steven Blum is probably the reason I liked the Mugen character so much. He also did Spike in Cowboy Bebop. Totally distinctive--you know who he is the instant you hear him, and he never does whiny.

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
you know he was good. I never knew his name. Unlike the FMA cast who get work everywhere I'm not sure Steven works as much or maybe I have a tin ear

Date: 2010-07-21 09:33 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] silvrethorn.livejournal.com
No, you don't have a tin ear. I haven't heard him in some time. Maybe he's done what the guy who voiced Jin did, and went into producing and doing screenplay adaptations. (The Jin-voice guy is Kirk Thornton, but he's one of those chameleon voices you can't pick out easily. Besides Jin, he voiced that annoying, screechy sun-ball character in Bo-Bobobo-Bo-Bo, and I probably didn't put in enough bobo's.)

I'm still trying to figure out how the guy who voiced Naru manages to sound arrogant and straight sounds like such a flaming queen as Ling or Allen Walker

I managed to totally avoid Bobo

From: [identity profile] silvrethorn.livejournal.com
Most voice actors seem to have a "swishy voice" in their arsenal, since creepily swishy villains are such a staple in anime. Why they chose to use the swishy voice with Ling is a mystery, since he isn't drawn as particularly effeminate. Maybe they were going for effete (shrugs).

It's better for your sanity if you avoid Bo-bo-bo. Repeated deployments of nose-hair jutsu does tend to fry your brain, as does inexplicable gender-switching at the drop of a hat. It was a fun send-up of ever-escalating, never-ending fight animes like Dragonball, though.

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
neither Allen or Ling scream queen to me so I don't get it at all.

i think i'll just keep avoiding bobobo

Geesh pour some bleach down the hole, let it dry out, then spray in some more foam!

No wait...might be electrical lines near the hole...hmmm....

Oh wait a second...there's some sort of granulated stuff you can pour down the hole. I don't know what it's called, but I do recall it expands when eaten or gets wet.

Best thing to really do is find out WHERE they came in from the outside to begin with.

Plug it up with steel wool, then silly putty, wood putty, some spray foam, then the plaster goop. Oye I'm being so articulate today...correct product names, and identifiers, are failing me.
