Mom called me tonight

Mom- Your dad and I had a Ma and Pa Kettle moment

Me (fearing the answer) - what?

Mom- there was this HUGE paper wasp nest in the raspberries. Really big. Too big to get them all with spray.

Me - uh huh

Mom - and we're getting too old to run

Me - yeah

Mom - so we took the truck over. I drove and your dad had his turkey gun and shot the thing to hell and I floored it out of there.

Me - ..... are the wasps gone?

Mom -oh yeah.



On a more personal note something I haven't told mom. My hip was bugging me so I rubbed it and felt something pop. It felt like one of those deep blind pimples you get as a kid only huge. Wonders if that was a ganglion cyst. Still hurts a lot. Sigh, need to call doc




25. Character who would be your band-mate if you were in a band - Houshou Takigawa/ monk-san (Ghost Hunt)






Monk-san gave up being a monk because he could follow his music too. When he's not ghost hunting with SPR, he's a professional bassist. Yeah he'd be great to have in a band. Cute, silly, able to rid you of spirits and ghosts, Takigawa is sexy fun.

Here's a snippet of Ghost hunt with with him in action (takes a minute or two to get there but heck I think most my flist would like this anime anyhow)

I just think he'd be a fun boss. He's concerned about your feelings. He's intelligent. You can talk to him. Okay so he's a sexual harrassment suit waiting to happen with how he pops out of his shirt and hugs you but I admit it, as much as I like the scrawny little guys, my twin loves the beefy ones.

I got a little way into the Ghost Hunt ep you linked and decided to add the show to my rotation, it looks awesome! I love paranormal stuff. And Armstrong would make a fantastic boss, I never thought of that!

I think you'll like it. The english version is actually good. the VA's for Roy and Ling are in this. The only thing that annoyed me was that Mai is a bit more of a screaming girl than she is in the manga.

Well, Naru is supposed to be uber-serious almost all the time, whereas Ling and Allen are more relaxed people until shit goes down.

Maybe the guy just over-acts when it comes to playing the more relaxed characters?
