I got the laundry done then came home, saw the state of my apartment, whined a little, then crashed on the couch with all three cats (jealous bastards, they ALL had to be on top of me) and my netbook and caught up on a week's worth of tv. By the end i could no longer feel my legs because there were cats everywhere.

My idiot neighbors are moving and taking their fear biting dog with them. Wonders if they'll take Oscar. I guess i'll know next week if I'll have another cat to rehome.

I was going to ramble on about some quasi-meta but then my sugar crashed in a big way and I'm now brain dead. Instead I'll twirl around and go yay, i figured out how to solve my FMA bigbang issues. See, originally, in my head, years ago, where I am now in the story was still going to be the midway point (yeah like nearly 30K in...) but I realize that this is the end. I have like one, maybe two chapters more. If I want to do the stuff I had in my head with Roy and his family (and to give a complete resolution to some of Al's issues) that just can't happen in this story. Maybe if someone asks for a sequel as people are wont to do. Something had to give and it was that subplot that wasn't truly needed (so yeah bob_fish you can give up reading it now)

Every third saturday the two librarians I like are there (i.e. the ones who actually have a clue what's going on). I brought up an entire series of manga to donate. well it's only 4 books and they sort of sucked (I tend to give books that don't suck to friends who would enjoy them all else goes to the library or halfprice book store) I was B. Ichi by the same guy who does Soul Eater and if you think his art was bad in SE in the beginning (and it was) you should see this one. Yuck. It wouldn't have been a bad story if they had been maybe 2 books. too much senseless/boring fight scenes not enough plot but a decent idea.

I also asked them about doing my Welsh presentation there and they're all for it. I figured if I had at least one other place besides my school that wanted to promote my research trip I'd look better. I think I'm going to look at the standing stones since between Queen Elizabeth I and her dad not much is left of the catholic strongholds.

I'm not fooling anybody. The meme pegged me squarely (ha!) as Southern. Didn't even offer any weasel choices. I didn't think I was _that_ bad.

Standing stones sound fun. I would totally go to that if our library was hosting you. Our last library event was a demonstration of encaustic painting with accompaniment on piano, however, so I can't complain about our local offerings.

It placed me as Western too, and I'm not. Farthest West I've been I think is Kansas... or Texas. I'm not sure if I was father west in Texas than I was in Kansas.

For me the quiz is confused because I have a slight southern influence in my accent. Roof rhymes with foot for example (most of the time, and they didn't give me the option of saying that I say it both ways.)

Don and Dawn sound the same most of the time, which is a Southern influence. Up here I hear people pronounce Dawn with the W, and Don with a harder O. I can pronounce them that way but it's not natural.

I think that confuses the quiz... It does say I could be someone from southern Ontario who doesn't have a Canadian accent. (like that's possible? I have a few friends from Southern Ontario, like London and Toronto, and those boys DEFINITELY have Canadian Accents) Maybe they're considering Ohio to be Southern Ontario by mistake! *snicker*

I dunno. It doesn't seem light to me. I have a hard time seeing the black text against it. It's a slightly darker than midtone grey: #787A86. beats me. Here's a picture of what I see. (condensed):

yes but to me that's light grey with pitch black text so I don't see it as an issue

beats me. it's definitely not what I'd call light by any stretch. Must be a monitor difference. When I pull the picture off the TV over onto the laptop half of my monitor, it's slightly lighter but still it's darker by the numbers than midtone grey at #808080. Only the blue is 6 above midtone blue and the red and green are a combined total of 8 below midtone, so it's definitely darker than midtone.

I also can't really see Roy's array in the background image. I didn't realise that was what it was until I copied it into paintshop one day out of curiosity and discovered the array hidden there. I figured it was something related, but it was too dark by contrast to see. I can kind of see it in my laptop side, but only if I get really close to it. We must have a fairly significant difference in our contrast settings. WHat color is the nice cream background for your text area?
