My aunt has passed

She finally died this morning. It's a relief in so many ways. She was literally starving to death at the end.

Thanks to all of you for your support over the last few weeks. I've appreciated it. That's the type of stuff that makes me not really care much about LJ's changes (and that makes Yahoo, LJ, Twitter and FB who have done massive changes in the last 2 months.) I'm here for you guys. NOT what the design of the journal looks like.

In a way I too am relieved the poor woman has finally passed over. But it is also quite sad when a friend loses a family member.

Sorry to hear that. My aunt died similarly, in that she just refused food until she faded away. It was very heart-breaking for my mom, who still feels the urge to pick up the phone and share things with her sister only her sister would "get."

I stay at LJ for the people, even though it IS being very annoying. (That's why I just use standard layouts... it's easier.)

As for the design, comment subject lines are used a lot in some comms, charities for one, and most comms aren't paid for so can't use the S2 styles that have the old styles. There's also a complete redesign in the works that looks, imo, horrid.

I'm so sorry,my friend. This has been the worst year I've ever seen for family members passing away, It's been just relentless all year, I don't know hardly anyone who has not lost someone. I really know what you mean about it putting things like LJ's mess into perspective.

I hope you and your family are able to find some respite and manage to at least have a peaceful Christmas this weekend. Will keepyou in my thoughts and hope for better days for all of us in the New Year!

Sorry to read about your Auntie. Though I know that she has been suffering for quite a while. I hope her passing was gentle and quiet, and I know what you mean about it being a relief. All of us just wanted the ordeal to be over when my dad was sick. It was very sad, but we all felt a weight come off when he passed through. May you rest easy and enjoy your holidays as you can. This rain may turn into snow by the time Santa gets here.

I'm sorry about your aunt :( it's an awful thing to lose a family member but at least she's not suffering anymore. Hope you & your family are doing okay.
