I SOLD MY FIRST NOVEL. check it out here! I had a different writerly ways planned but that's the only thing in my head. Yes, it's erotica and several of you have read it. So hopefully Kept Tears will be out by Christmas.
In more mundane news, I haven't been writing the last few days due to pain. My toe is killing me and all I've been doing is sitting around working on my lectures. It's well needed. I'm fairly sure the pain is irritation + diabetic nerve pain turned to 11. It's so bad, I can't put weight on it, literally. My body has put the extensor hallucis longus muscle and several other ankle muscles into spasm keeping the toe off the ground.I can't even put a sheet over the damn thing.
But I don't care because I sold my novel :-)
Also I was in grandma's basement and it was very well needed. Mom had so much of my stuff in the garage and looking at that,I was stunned athow much crap is there. I feel terrible. Anyhow, I had to deal with shelob before I could get into the back basement. She was the size of a coaster. I still have so much shit there and you will be seeing it on my declutter list. I hauled away 2 black garbage bags of old magazines and by some miracle there were comics in there, unchewed upon by mice even though other things were. two boxes of patient records to destroy and that hit me hard, seeing those. I'm still not over that loss.
Anyhow, the planned writerly way was going to detail my Camp Nano Plans which was to finish one or more of my other nano works.
silvrethorn rightfully said Nano creates orphans as we flit from the old idea to the new. So here are my three nano novels for July
Soldiers of the Sun (1930's, demon-hunters a must finish, since it will be over a year since the novella came out which is too too long.) 71,556 so it's novel length. I just need to bring it home.
Blood Red Roulette (vampires in Vegas, this is the one I just researched) 32,500, half way there.
Behind Blue Eyes (SF dystopia) 32K brand new but hot to write and going to end up too long.
As with any of them, if anyone wants to help beta them, let me know and we can work up a trade.

Date: 2013-07-01 02:21 am (UTC)I'm sorry the toe is causing you such pain. Is there anything they can do to relive it a bit? Shoot it full of painkillers or something?

Date: 2013-07-01 02:30 am (UTC)Zostrix (the red hot pepper creme) works some. Lyrica has WAY too many side effects and is addictive.I'll take the pain.
