wow...only 93 words written in a week. I will be trying to fix that tonight.

I do have lectures to work on too. Kanda was MOST upset I was on HIS couch all afternoon working on those. He kept pushing me. Brat.

I tried to work in the garden and I think I need to give it up. Other than the fact my back and shoulders are screaming, it's SO MUCH grass now, I don't think I can possibly weed it enough. I AM thinking of digging out all the lilies and over wintering them but I have never done that. I don't want to/can't take out the butterfly bush, roses, spirea and st. john's wort. But in theory wouldn't it be possible to leave them and rototill around them come spring? Or at least get heavy duty weed plastic down in the spring over the grassy areas. I'm VERY open to suggestions for how to handle it since it looks like i'm stuck here another year.

I did pick some stuff from the garden. Here it is in the art vase I got mom for the holidays. I figured the best way to a) not forget I bought it b) not break it was to just hang it up. And if she hates it, it'll look just fine in my place.

Mom DID like the house I posted last night. Sigh. I WISH it were closer to Albany/Athens.

Let's see penis study well there goes this year's grant idea.

and [livejournal.com profile] mzzgoddessblue showed me this you tube. Now you need to be logged into your free account for this (it's age restricted for good reason. It is NOT safe for work). THIS is the reason I love Japan. They have some of the weirdest shit. Oh to understand more Japanese than I do. And this is just ONE of the little skits. I wasted an afternoon on this

declutter day 138 item tossed- 4 white face towels why kept-I bought them while poor why tossed -Never used them. Too thin.

Gardening is a sore subject in Oz right now too. So dry that the lawns look like dust. Keen gardeners with nice gardens are all looking desperate and wringing their hands in despair :(

The weather is making people ill. Allergies and infections everywhere - not to mention all the crankiness. :(

it was like that here in 2012's spring. I was dying and students who never had allergies before were red-eyed and sniffling

That's such a pretty vase.

I guess I'm lucky, my daylilies and irises pretty much keep the grass down in their area, I just have to worry about trash trees and getting them out of there (oh, and the lemon balm herb that wants to take over the yard).

It was a good buy, definitely!

Hmmm. My grass tries to encroach, but doesn't get far.

Cute vase!

Oh wow over the YouTube vid. XD; Japan indeed has very unusual stuff, especially their game shows.

I like that vase.

I haven't done a damn thing with my garden in over a month. Today I spent a half hour out there and it's a total disaster at this point.

for your garden area: I've seen a very successful method that uses layered cardboard and hay. it not only successfully and permanently (if left) chokes out weeds and grass, it also composts what it kills making fertile soil. I believe it involves 4 layers, two of cardboard and two of hay - alternating cardboard, hay, cardboard, hay like that. when you're done, you can either remove the layers after several months and voila fresh fertile soil -or- do the whole bed, leave it and put soil over it to start the whole bed over.
