Back online for now

So...my computer spontaneously started getting internet again in the middle of me cleaning up for the tech to get here. My options are a) he DID find something on the outside of the apartment and that fixed it (I notice he still hasn't called even though he was supposed to) b) I dropped the router in the process of cleaning and that made it work again c) the boot scan did something to fix it even though it took an hour before I saw results or d) the computer/router saw me cleaning and said about time, lazy ass, and figured I had learned my lesson and started working. I'm going with b or d.

Kanda greets me every morning. Today, he did not and he yelled at me when I went into the living room. Guess I know how he feels about being back in the shaky shack. Obviously someone wanted to stay at the grandparents.

I had to have my broken tooth removed today and the temporary crown put on. There was a horrible moment when they're drilling your broken tooth down to a stub and you realize the tooth dust tastes just like your cadaver bones smell like in lab. Whee. I need to call them because the clear acrylic looking stuff they used before putting the crown on keeps breaking off in my mouth. I'm not sure if that's supposed to happen or not. Pray the damn thing stays on because it's going to take THREE weeks to get a new permanent crown. My life. sheesh.

And I busted up my foot good. Remember me saying I took grandma's rolling pin from the mental hospital? (I'm being nice here, it was called a lunatic asylum at the time). Yeah it fell out of the bag it was in and hit me right where toes 2 & 3 join the foot. It's nicely swollen and bruised. Fun times.

new story idea here That's right ANOTHER new story idea. The brain is working overtime but at the same time refusing to concentrate on any one thing. Go brain go. head desk.

No music today. I have edits I MUST finish.

yay! so glad your internet is back (and he may well have found a wiring/connection problem outside, and repaired it without letting you know - it has happened to us before)

and did they actually pull the tooth or just drill out the decay, grind it down and do a 'build up' for a crown? Or was it a root canal with crown?

That's what I'm assuming. Would be nice if they called when they say they will though.

Not pulled. Just ground off the piece of tooth left standing and built it up for the crown

That's great that your internet is back.

Drilled tooth smell (and taste) is one of my least favorite things.

I hope the foot heals quickly. I imagine shoes are not your friends right now.

Yeah, it's not a great thing that smell (still less disgusting than half the stuff in my lab but the stuff in the lab isn't coming out of my mouth..)

Mixed blessing of diabetic neuropathy, I don't really feel it (which is where the danger comes in) unless I'm pressing on it
