My cousin just called me. Her eight year old son is looking for things to read. He likes 'scientific' stuff and has finished all the Potter books. He didn't like Lemony Snicket or the Hardy boys and is reading Encyclopedia Brown in school. I've already suggested Tolkein and C.S. Lewis

I Have a Dream

Naturally school remembers Martin Luther King Jr day by taking the day off and I've been so busy making tests and lectures that I forgot entirely to blog about it.

And what is there for me to say. For all the problems we still have, they are nothing like it was less than fifty years ago. Without brave, intelligent compassionate men like this, where would we be?
