Ah another fresh steaming cup of hell

THis is the year to FINISH unfinished projects. To that End evil_little_dog and I are working on finally cleaning up the completed novel, first in a series, that has technically been done since 2002. We've just been horridly lazy about it.

As if her observation at how much better we right now wasn't true enough I just found out that there have been THREE global replaces. One I know how it happened, changing the pet name 'Pet' to Kit....but two happened today (and let me assure you I did NOT global replace anything.) 'UG' has been globally replaced by GLE Uh what? and RUG has been replaced by an S. WTF? I mean even if I were to hit global by accident (and I know I didn't since i had yet to spellcheck when this happened) i wouldn't have opted for such gobblygook.

Glares at Microsoft Word.

Roy is snoring in the other room. That is good. Any time he isn't awake is good.

Better late than never. Been very busy working on the novel and I'm getting right back at it.

Sadly there is no cool place to celebrate it here.

Fat drabble

A pound of flesh, no bone, no fat, no gristle, Steven heard the words. Father repeated them so many times. The child understood what they meant, a penitence, if one offered it up for oneself. Father had other ideas in mind. He told Steven how to keep a vampire alive, restrained. He promised his son that vampires could be coerced into cutting a pound of flesh from themselves, craven beasts that would do anything if you promised freedom.

Pound of flesh, Steven grinned. One day he would exact this from Angelus. He would see the monster bleed before it died.
