so. damn. cold

not because it's cold out (well it is but i like that). My sugar dropped (I had potatoes AND pie for dinner how the hell could i go hypoglycemic....) and I went completely diaphoretic (i.e. sweating bullets) which is now drying off leaving me frigid and bone-exhausted from trying to get my sugar back up.

I had stuff I wanted to say too but those sugar bounces deaden my brain. I did have to run out to get lunch today because someone had resealed my Mutter Paneer instant Indian food with freaking WOOD glue. No way in hell i was eating that. There was a flame point himalayan trying to warm itself in the leaf litter by subways when i went there to replace lunch. I felt bad.

Roy remains an odd beast. That is all.

So I got talked back into working at the theatre, this time for the winter wonderland affair. Pictures with trees, making frames for said pictures, dulcimer music singalongs, reindeer games, trains and hot chocolate and cookies. It was cute. I was put in the train room to guard it from little fingers. Trains run on electricity.

Have you forgotten me and all things electric? Yeah...like I said, Harry Dresden's sister here. Can you say all three trains died? Yes I knew you could. Spent two hours trying vainly to keep them running. Had to reconstruct a whole track to get rid of the incline figure eight since it was stressing the engine.

Then the snow started. Well it was snowing when I left which was just a powder, no cause for alarm. It quickly turned into a wet snow that led to a) multiple car crashes b) slicker than snot roads c) cancellation of the Christmas parade (it ws barely sticking but they panick easy here.) We canceled our last two hours (which I didn't know existed. I swore L told me 12-2pm, not 4!) I can't go tomorrow but i can go next weekend. Going around one curve i nearly ended up in a cemetery. I would have hated to wipe out the headstones. Luckily I'm used to driving in snow

And guess who is now part of the stage crew for a traveling Broadway A Christmas Carol play? Yeah... we'll i've never worked with Broadway actors, the traveling troupe or not, so it'll be fun.
