Mom called me tonight

Mom- Your dad and I had a Ma and Pa Kettle moment

Me (fearing the answer) - what?

Mom- there was this HUGE paper wasp nest in the raspberries. Really big. Too big to get them all with spray.

Me - uh huh

Mom - and we're getting too old to run

Me - yeah

Mom - so we took the truck over. I drove and your dad had his turkey gun and shot the thing to hell and I floored it out of there.

Me - ..... are the wasps gone?

Mom -oh yeah.



On a more personal note something I haven't told mom. My hip was bugging me so I rubbed it and felt something pop. It felt like one of those deep blind pimples you get as a kid only huge. Wonders if that was a ganglion cyst. Still hurts a lot. Sigh, need to call doc
