{Take the 100 Things challenge: 100 (mostly diabetic) recipes!}

This is from diabetic living magazine. A diabetic friendly way of doing up sweet potatoes. I'll be back later with a diabetic friendly dessert for the end of the meal. And there's a bonus recipe on here but it's not diabetic friendly really except in small amounts

This next one is NOT diabetic friendly but it's a nice way to get the stuffing out of the turkey cavity and into nice little packets that are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and yes you can obviously scale it down. It was Aunt S's (the aunt who passed last year) recipe

Everyone waits until today to ask about my plans. Now I have several invitations that I've turned down (since I've bought everything) My family has come to terms with me not coming home but I'm off for a full MONTH between semesters (the longest I've ever had) so they can get over it. If my friend EB (the chair) didn't have her roomie and said roomie's brother there I would go just because she lost her mother last week and I wouldn't want her to be alone but I think it's better kept small like that. (and selfishly I rather want to be alone and I'm not sure I would be all that comforting. Maybe I am but I have felt awkward in those situations of comforting people for my entire life).

I have the turkey brining. Never tried that. We shall see.

Had another spell when I came home of overwhelming exhaustion. I can't explain these little spells. I'm fine then suddenly I literally can not go on, can't think and can't read. I just sit and stare if i'm lucky. It took 3 hours to feel better this time. It's probably blood sugar related.

It's been a terrible year for cats. I lost Roy. My parents lost Rogue. If it goes as planned I'll have lost Soul before long and now my brother's youngest, Pebbles, is dying. The vet has no idea why but John and SiL noticed Pebbles was losing weight, not eating/drinking/playing. Her kidneys are shutting down. the vet kept her to do some work but it looks bad.

And all of these whines dim in comparison to this. One of the newcomers to my local nano contacted us to drop out. Her 4 year old nephew died in his sleep (I know no more than that other than I know its too old to be crib death). I can't even imagine the pain and sorrow. I am lucky and thankful indeed for my own life and whatever bumps it has right now.

To top off the meal, how about a diabetic friendly dessert. It's also from diabetic living and it come with three different toppers to add something special.
