Writerly Ways
Jul. 7th, 2013 02:16 pmI have no coherent thoughts for this week and it's hard to top last week's announcement so just let me ramble a bit then get back to the clean up. Anyone got a match?
I'm excitedly waiting both the cover art specs and the edits for my novel. Okay I'm not THAT excited about the edits but I know it's 100% necessary and I'll be better for it. Picking out your cover art is an important and sort of hard thing to do based on my experience with the novella The Darkest Midnight in December. So many choices. Will the artist get it right? (I was pretty darned happy last time) How will suggestions for changes be taken? and I DO know art is important. I got into an argument with a friend back in the 90's over this. S/he wanted purposely bad art. I suppose that would draw the eye but for the wrong reasons. I just saw a cover last night that left me going huh? in terms of the book content. Yeah, important, hard and exciting.
I'm not sure there's that much new here but I just liked the title (you knew I would) 4 things Star Trek can teach us
And this IS helpful for those of us peddling stories. marketing maze
July's camp nano - Not off to a great start.
