I'm putting this up early and on the fly because I didn't think things over clearly when I volunteered to take this over for the remainder of the month for [profile] brightandravenous. Not only do I have an exam to grade tonight but my novel Blood Red Roulette releases today and my publisher has me doing a ton of things. Oops.

SO anyhow I'll be back much later tonight to put in all the details of who wrote which day but I didn't want to wait until I had time for that or this thing will be going up after midnight.

So here's hoping you all had a good day of writing. (I did while my students were taking their pathophysiology exam)

Also since I might be new to a lot of you, I'm pretty open when it comes to friending me. If you want to, go ahead. It's mostly me talking about my life or my writing life. If you don't want to, no fears, these will all be public posts. If I've messed up tranferring the tally over, let me know and I'll adjust it.

Also it's World Kindness Day so be kind (and that includes to yourself) and with that in mind here's some gentle encouragement

And I'm still in love with this cover.

Blurb Arrigo Giancarlo’s friends think he's a rich young man with the unusual job of paranormal investigator, working with his psychic assistant in Las Vegas. In truth he’s a two-thousand-year-old vampire and member of the Chiaroscuro, a group of Supernaturals dedicated to keeping humanity safe from the more dangerous of their kind. He’s also openly bisexual… but alone.

When he spots Luc St. John in a bar, Arrigo is intrigued. What begins as an effort to repay the kindness shown to him in the past quickly turns into much deeper feelings for the suffering and displaced Cajun. For Luc’s part, he feels too poor, too uneducated, and too bound to his hateful family to ever be worthy of elegant and cultured Arrigo.

An old enemy, Eleni, blames Arrigo for murdering her true love. On the anniversary of that death, she’s back to take revenge. As Arrigo’s closest friends fall victim to savage attacks, he fears nothing will keep Luc safe. Should he break both their hearts and let Luc go, or is it too late? If Luc’s already in Eleni’s sights, Arrigo knows that like most things in Vegas, the odds are against him.

You can find it on Amazon here or at my publisher here

It's also world kindness day. If you want to do an author a kindness leave them a review on AMazon. It's tied into sales. Kindnesses shown to me today? My publisher sent me an ecard to tell me they were proud of me (that's new, they've never done that before) and someone on a forum said how much they loved my writing. I almost cried.

And speaking of kindness, thank you to everyone who's been commenting and helping with my nano. It's very much appreciated!

So have a little more of it. “Does he depend on what you earn begging?”

Zvon couldn’t look at Tanyth even though he heard no judgement there. “No, he works. This was all I could do.” He raised his stump. Couldn’t they understand his problems? No, they were so far above them they couldn’t see.

“I don’t want to take you if you wish to stay here.”

Zvon stared at the table, feeling their eyes on him. If he stayed, his dad would just keep beating him. There was no good ending and he knew it. He might not know much but how else could it end? “I want to go but can we send a letter to tell him that I ran away so he doesn’t wonder.”

“We can arrange that.”

Zvon met her eyes. “We’ll have to send it to Dr. Dobro. Dad does work for him. Dad can’t read.” He licked his lips. “Me neither.”

“I can fix that,” Arria replied cheerily.

He wondered if anything ever had been hard for her. She seemed so sure of herself.

“I can write the letter for you,” Tanyth said, rising. “I need to see why we’ve been delayed here.”

“It feels strange.” Arria leaned back, looking out one of the windows.

Her mother scowled, stepping closer to the glass. Zvon had no idea what they were talking about. He had no sense anything was wrong, except maybe the feeling someone was behind him. He figured that was his nerve pricking at him. Tanyth drew two of the curtains over the train windows before whirling around, racing for the door.

“You two stay here and keep away from the windows after you pull the curtains,” Tanyth said then she was gone.
