Don't I feel dumb

wipbigbang #1, a very old Buffy/Angel crossover started way back in 2003. I reread it recently (after pulling it down from FFN because it was lost off my computer). Didn't notice anything. Today scrolling around I realize that in the opening chapters Fred is going to Texas for the Holidays (i.e. I did NOT want a big cast to deal with) and then in later chapters Fred is there planning Christmas in the Hyperion.
And this is in what's 'in print.' … I had betas! OMG. So what to do? Keep with the original and send Fred off. Keep with the later chapters and have her there?
I'm leaning to the first because honestly I DON'T want a cast of thousands and since this is a BtVS/AtS crossover there could be that. Mostly I wanted it Buffy, Faith, Angel, Wes Dawn and Connor (and Xander, Gunn and Lindsey in the background more or less). Thoughts? might need a beta for this beast too and a cheerleader.
