How's it going? I am coming off day 5 where my little [community profile] dick_or_treat went from 500 words to over 4K. Good couple hours writing. It's now posted in the Hazbin Hotel fandom...though I might have hurt myself trying to imagine a sex scene for an avian-cat man and a spider man....

How about I toss out a writing prompt idea for us from Writer's Digest (and a half dozen various writing comms I've been in)

Misheard Lyrics. Think of some of the song lyrics you have misheard throughout the years. Pick your favorite, and use these misheard lyrics as the title of a new creative writing piece. Write a story, scene, or poem based on this title.

Let me know what day you're signing in for and if I missed you (which feels likely at this point) let me know.

I went to Gallipolis to hear part of the Civil War symposium at the library. I got to hear the talk about the hospital that was in town that I had no idea about (and got to talk to the ladies from the John Gee church which was a major stop on the Underground Railroad about the two sister chiropodists (the precusor to podiatry) in early 20th century. That was worth it. I'll be stopping by the John Gee this fall to get all the info. I picked up hospital lady's book about it.

But I barely got there because of the flooding and all thru the talk my ADHD was looking out the window every 10 seconds watching the river almost cresting into the main road.

I went from there 30 miles back to my usual library for the author book fest because I wanted to get Mindy McGinnis's latest but she wasn't there. Pouts. Too much flooding. Who was there was the author I share a table with at the coffee house. She's a teacher (middle school) locally and if the Spot is full up we'll share tables and write. Had to get her book naturally.

I lost the afternoon by sitting down at 230 and it was suddenly 6 pm. Geez and now it's nearly midnight and I've barely done a thing.

Pomeroy about 20 miles from the school right on the river. You can see (barely) the top of the street lamps in the back ground.
