Now I can't remember it. Given how shitty work was today I'm not shocked. I'm SO glad this kerfluffle didn't happen this time last week or being all day in the car with L would have gone way worse. I can't say much more but it has made me very unhappy (It's not L's doing, it's something else).

THANK YOU to those who are helping me find the lost stories. (I'll have to wait til next week to check some suggestions). I was thrilled when ELD said hey check your own journal. Yeah so one it's been hard looking at 2005 because that was the turmoil of moving here. BUT I didn't put my stories in LJ then. I linked out to forever fandom which is gone. I also remembered adult fanfiction but the one that is still out there is probably not the same one. And now I see SO MANY more stories that are gone, Deep Dark Skies, Young Lies, Fumbling Toward Ecstasy. I might want to bring up those discs again and see if I can find this stuff. (I THINK my office computer has a disc reader that I can exchange with the dvd player).

I'm also reading a shit ton of open_on_sunday drabbles I wrote and those ARE in the damn journal. sigh.


THe blood sugar is still being a dick and I'm having a high pain day. In theory medical marijuana might be legal here in a few months. Hmmm.

I also had something else I wanted to say but I have no idea what it was.

If you have the link to a place where you posted something and can't find the website online any more, don't forget to check the Wayback Machine at http://archive.org (should show up at the top of the screen), which caches websites. Unfortunately, a lot of fanfic sites are set up to exclude caching, but I've found some old fanfic through archive.org.

If you can't find a disk-reader, I bought a decent one on-line for, I think, $13.00 through Amazon. I can give you brand info if you want it. I had a ton of disks, including old dissertation research, that needed transferring to a hard drive and then uploading to Mozy, and this reader worked like a champion. Definitely worth the $13. Lol!

Ooo thanks, yes, that would be great. I need to get one that turns cassettes into mp3s too (also now quite cheap)

Some of the other issue is some of it was in word perfect

It looks like they're even cheaper (by 40 cents, but still) than mine was when I bought it. I can attest that it works just as advertised. It's very easy!

I'm sorry that works being craptastic. Ugh that you still can't get your blood sugar to level out and that you're experiencing a high pain day. (I'm seriously considering checking into medical marijuana for my own back pain and for my mom's knees.)

Yeah I have polyarthritis so there's a fair amount of pain. I don't do well on NSAIDs and opiods, addiction risk aside, make me so nauseous I can't stop vomiting. The marijuana might help

Adult fanfiction.net did have some of your stuff on it -- I found it when I was looking for Young Lies, but since it wasn't the one I was hunting for, I didn't pay attention to which ones. But if you're missing others, it might be worth checking there.
