I gotta update the word count estimate for where the firelight fades AGAIN, 'cause last estimate was 60K except with the addition of the scene I wrote today we're almost to 58K and there is absolutely no way I am within 3K of done.

or maybe I will just not update the estimate until I have an actual full draft. 'cause that might actually be this week!

very cool though. That's great progress Yeah some things run over estimate (I tend not to even try unless it's expected for something like a challenge)

I've been trying to ballpark it for pacing purposes but also what is pacing even

(this was going to be under 10K when I started it in May, it really really was)

hahaha I hear you, I do. That Come Undone story what ended up over 60K was started in Nov as something meant to be about 3K. side eyes it.

Today was a reluctant writing day for me. I don't really want to start anything else, but I also just don't feel like wading back into the original stuff. So I futzed around a lot and eventually started another fanfic for my bingo card. I wrote 305 words on it, and I'm calling it good for now. I'm going to do laundry, read, etc., and just loll around like a cat. ;-)

I could do with some feline lolling. Yay for another bingo (you should me bending the crap out of my hurt comfort bingo prompts to get that done...)

I did write a placeholder sentence on Monday and Tuesday nights but then I was too tired to post about it.

Tonight I got about 200 words out.

Day 19: after fretting about lack of inspiration for this scene earlier in the day, I ended up writing 1,847 words on the now 80% done WIP! a quick text exchange with a friend really got the wheels turning :D

that is wonderful. Sometimes using friends as a sounding board works so well!

Alibi sentence for me for yesterday. I simply couldn't fit in more time to write, the day was just this kind of crazy. (But we had a terrific choir rehearsal, and I'm currently watching a series of lectures on youtube as research for my novel, so that counts perhaps a little bit as well. *g* )
