I'll be periodically putting up some books here that I'm getting rid of. Since I haven't worked in forever, I can't afford to just give them away but if you're interested, let me know. I'm just asking postage/handling (will send media mail unless otherwise requested), 1$ for PB and 2$ for hard cover.

Spindrift: Spray from a psychic Sea by Jan Bryant Bartell (non-fic, spiritual search), HC 1974

Shattered Glass – Elaine Bergstrom (vampire fic) PB 1989

Acts of Malice – Perri O’Shaughnessy (Mystery- Lawyer’s pov) PB 1999

The Mystery of Monster Mountain – Alfred Hitchcock’s the Three Investigators (A YA boy’s mystery ala Hardy Boys) PB 1973

Graveyard Dust – Barbara Hambly (New Orleans based historical mystery) HC 1999

The Phantom of the Opera – Gaston Leroux  HC 1985 reprint of the original tale

Point of Origin – Patricia Cornwell (a Kay Scarpetta Mystery) HC 1998

Ok. Well if you don't mind finding out for me. Unfortunately my friend who lived in Seattle's moved back up here, so I can't get you to ship them to him.

I'd be interested in these, but I dunno how I'd get the money to you, have you got any ideas. And it's more expensive to mail them to here for sure, do you know how much it is to send stuff to Europe? If it's a hassle for you don't worry.

And stop tempting me with books :P The descriptions 'vampire fic' and 'New Orleans based historical mystery' are too much for me to handle XD

i can't even remember what the vampire thing was about to be honest.

The Hambly thing is set in the 1800's in New Orleans. Ben January is a 'free man of color' who was trained to be a doctor in France but returned to his native Louisiana after malaria (or something) wiped out his wife. However New Oreleans is MUCH less kind to Africans at that time period and he's always in danger of being enslaved. Hambly put a lot of research into the time period and how blood lines (i.e. how much European is in a person of color) effected how they were treated. The first few were good, the later ones got repetitive. I liked Ben's tuberculosis alcoholic musician friend Hannibal better. I've stopped reading the series at this point.

Hmm, interesting. I dunno if I've ever seen those books over here, I'll ask for them next time I go to the bookstore. I'll look up the vamp book on Amazon and see what they say.

looking them up on Amazon, now there's a thought. The first few of Hambly's books were good but it was a series that got tired very fast and there is a lot of racism in it but that's to be expected in the south at that time

In your case it might be better to find them locally. I have no idea how much it is to mail to Europe something this heavy but it's probably not worth the money. I have paypal so usually if you have that for Ebay or something it's not hard.

Yeah, I guess so, but basically mention books in front of me and I want them XD and paypal isn't available in Malta yet! *kills the stupid backwardness of the place*

I'm glad you found someone who wants the books though :)

You don't have paypal? I didn' tknow there was such a place

Ehm.... no comment.

*blows up the entire place*

See, now there really is no such place :)

so did I. I'll probably find more of those. It'll probably end up going to my 'nephew' but he's too young for it now
