Made it home
Aug. 26th, 2020 09:16 pmNaturally I've been fine for 10 days. I have a 4 1/2 hour drive and I wake up in the middle of a flare of something. Hands and ankles are swollen and hurt. Back/hips hurt. Blood sugar off the charts (so it's probably the ovarian cysts stirring up shit).
For a day that was supposed to have no rain. I drove 150 miles to the serenade of severe weather warning, quarter sized hail and 65 mph winds. Luckily I skirted most of it.
My plants were all alive, thank you neighbor lady.
I also ordered the New York style pizza from my favorite pizzeria in Athens. Never had it before and it was amazing. one slice was enough for dinner and now have about 5 more dinners (froze some of it)
The last of the fandom challenge requires too much thought so instead I'm stealing this from
spikesgirl58 the Time Travel Challenge.
The challenge is this:

I chose the 28th since SO many of my posts in 2004 were just Buffy story related and this one has some interesting bits. Evil Little Dog will tell you the house I was renting from our mutual friend Zog (who's gone now) was VERY haunted and just plain weird. I was awoken by foot steps in the hall but I sensed no ghosts that time and put it down to the wild temperature swing in way-north Wisconsin. I had been there less than 3 weeks by this point. I was also very disappointed that rain ruined my woodland hike.
And oh look my stomach was STILL being a dick (when isn't it?) And more of the house weirdness the bed rooms and living room were hard wood but the bathroom and kitchen were carpeted which is still the stupidest idea ever to me.
Zog was also retired and loved to drive about wanting to make me LOVE living in the country but I kept telling him I've lived my entire life in the country. He was the city mouse. Nothing up there I hadn't lived in all along. I wouldn't have minded but whenever he volunteered to drive me somewhere, he'd amble along at 30 mph (regardless of speed limit), take every back road and I'd be gone for HOURS which would piss me off because I had work to do.
