The insurance caved

It took all day but the insurance agreed to pay for me. BUT I have to be out after tomorrow in spite of the surgery on the 9th. So tomorrow they have to fight THAT battle. I told them if they don't have approval for at least a week post op then I am going to be going to another home so my insurance can't play this game again.

We're all betting I'll be admitted on the 9th and end up else where. Tomorrow if I haven't heard by the afternoon, I'm calling my surgeon to admit me and I'll pack everything in boxes.

The brace looks so much more comfy OMG. The Star Trek book is killing me I love it. I really do not understand how insurance fighting this is meant to help in anyway (it's not - it's them not wanting to lose a penny of profits, but the fact that human care and lives are on the other end will never not enrage me). I really hope this gets straightened out so you can fucking get treatment and heal and not keep getting carted around.

The brace is about a million times more comfy. Every time I moved with the fixator, it tore open the skin and muscle more. (that picture is going into my joint chapter lecture)

That's it exactly. I fought insurance companies my entire medical career. It's about 70% of my brother's job as head of PT. It's a nightmare of greed. I keep saying I don't need national health per se but my god we need insurance reform as much if not more than student loan debt relief
