cornerofmadnessNot to mention the storms. That 80 mph wind thunderstorm I was warned about on my phone the day before, hit last night. took out power for at least a 50 mile radius. I did get lucky it came on at 20 to 2 AM (my usual bed time) I had managed a little sleep before that but it was so damn hot I got pretty ill. I had to open the windows in my bedroom in spite the rain. Good god the amount of 18 wheelers that run past my place.
And it was a good example of why I keep a landline. My cell phone needs a wifi booster to get a signal out here so it was down and I had a major sugar crash. If I didn't have a landline and I needed to call for help I'd have been screwed. Of course the landline is now borked too so there's that.
I was supposed to leave tomorrow. I'm just not ready. I am leaving thursday. there was no sense beating myself up trying to finish my cleaning. I also had to edit my![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
unconventionalcourtship story which I couldn't finish in a power outage. It's supposed to be hotter than the sun and raining both days so one is as good as the other so long as I'm back by my birthday on friday.
