Mom and I tried to go shopping today. Get over there and the power is out. Sigh. It's supposed to be because of the heat (which we haven't had for the last few days but yes today).

I had a bunch of stuff here I just erased. Politics. I swear they are shredding my mind.

I really wanted to enjoy the solstice but eh, not so much. I do have plans for this evening (i.e. sitting outside in the moonlight) but this is the longest day and it FEELS like it.

I feel awful about this story of mine. I really wish I could get it moving again. I don't care so much if they reject it but to never finish it? Sigh.

I planted some plants last night. today found them pulled right up out of the ground but not eaten. Side eyes the deer.

Today a turkey came running right to the house and she's now prowling around it picking bugs. Eat away young lady.

Hi, thought you might be interested in (it appears to be a two-part series) this BBC radio programme, The Secrets of Storytelling https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00187qz . Whether it has anything new for you I don't know; literally found it in the last five minutes.

I totally forgot about solstice yesterday, and we'd planned to light a small fire and things. At least we had dinner outside (after two horribly hot days it's been cool enough for it) and later I had a nice evening walk with a powdery-pastel after-sunset, very beautiful.
Sympathies about the story! *prods your muse*

I hate when things don't go according to plan. I hope you were able to find something else to do despite the power outage.

It was cloudy all day here with sporadic sprinkles and the high was supposed to be 66 (I never checked). Pretty dreary for the first day of summer.

I'm sorry your story is stalled.

Your poor plants! The deer must've thought they'd found a treat, then decided differently. o_O *g*

We've had some turkeys eating out of the bird 'feeder' (Pip sprinkles some seed on the ground, so it's more of a bird feeding station *g*).
