made it to Mass

I got through all the last bits I wanted to do in Providence including the botanical garden (because going in a greenhouse is exactly what we should do when it's 95 outside), the athenaeum where Poe, Sarah Helen Whitman and Lovecraft all were patrons, John Brown's house and Swan Cemetery

The cemetery doesn't allow photos. Whatcha going to do? ban me? Also some turkeys mobbed me.

I switched hotels because I thought I was going to the ghost tour at Lizzie Borden's but it was sold out. And now I'm not even sure I'm going at all because the tour seems pricey for a house tour at 1030. I might just drive by and wave. Mostly the heat is sapping me so if I waste too much time here the stonehenge thing tomorrow will be at the heat of the day. we'll see because also my leg is really starting to feel it.

I'm also not buying the salem ghost tour yet either because of the heat and I'm not sure I can even park (because they have half the only big parking garage closed for remodeling/repairs)

Anyhow this hotel has a pool and a laundry. I swam. I would be in so much better shape if I could swim daily. I really REALLY wish my school would let the faculty have pool time without students. The laundry was weird. I have never seen a dryer heat THIS hot. I couldn't touch my clothing. wonders if things will fit.

Let me tell you, as much as I'm interested in history, I would have been a sweaty reeking mess back then the way I sweat. I had to bring extra clothes as was because of it.

Even if I don't get to do Lizzie's place this time out I am excited for tomorrow.

You know, you can actually stay at the Lizzie Borden House. It is, however, quite pricy.

Thanks! I did know and you hit it right on the head as to why I didn't. What was a shocker to me today was how BIG Fall River is. I was thinking more of a smallish town. I was so wrong
