But I'll be honest I'm in too much pain and too tired to do so. I barely ate dinner because the pain killed my appetite.

My bad knee's knee cap keeps moving out of place. It's insanely swollen right now and unstable. I am trying to rest it because I don't want to lose my mini-cation this weekend.


I plan to stay at the historic, haunted Lafayette Hotel I have so much I want to do. YEARS ago I promised myself I wouldn't be a stranger anywhere I lived. Mostly after living 4 years in Cleveland and 1 year working in Manhattan and seeing nothing. To be fair that was 4 years of medical school and 1 year of residency and I have no time for anything. Even when I moved to Columbus I didn't do much either.

So when I hit Madison I said you shall be a tourist where you live and I have until I got here. Okay so I do know my local towns as well as Athens and Chillicothe pretty well but I'm falling off. There is plenty in Chillicothe I haven't seen (and my attempts to see it this year were thwarted.)

Both Marietta and Cincinatti are only 2 hours for me and I've mostly just driven through them. So Marietta this month and Cinci next month. Let's see a few things.

Provided my knee doesn't collapse. Sigh.

Thanks. I dug out the older brace from last year that fit better than the new one. I'm going to need it

It sucks that your knee is bothering you! What makes the kneecap slide like that?

I feel the same way about doing things where you live, except that we rarely do. o_O

weak muscles can cause the knee to slide out like that.

apparently I rarely do seeing as I've been here 17 years somehow.

Cincinnati has a really wonderful sign museum. Check it out and take the tour if they're offering it. It's a neat place off the beaten track.

cool I think that came up in a search (or was that the neon one in Vegas?) I was thinking the ghost/history tour and the brewery tour unless I spend two nights which is possible but part of it I'll be at the Renn fest. My choices were leave here really early (as it's about 2 hours away) or spend the night. I want to be there when it opens after 2019 when it took 2 hours to get from the highway to the fest for over 4 hours on the road.
