So I brought in my laptop because it wasn't working in the lab. I thought maybe the lab's HDMI cable went bad. Nooooo it's my fucking laptop (which is about 2 years old).

The IT guy is like Dana there are a mess of bad drivers on this thing. He tries to fix it and it splats. OMFG. He works for hours to get it out of the repair loop it's locked into. However now nothing seems to work. It turns on but all the apps (discord, spotify, teams etc) are all corrupted. SCREAMS

AND the reason it's not shutting right isn't that I sprung a hinge. The fucking battery is out-gassing and tearing the housing apart. That means it could catch fire. So I look at it with readers AND a magnifying glass and can still barely read the model number and if I'm right then there IS no replacement battery for it. Yeets it out the window

I'm taking it back to IT tomorrow with a um you know that driver repair you tried well something went wrong (also now the touch screen ain't working either)

So I have dad researching replacement laptops and thankfully they had already brought me a laptop at work because I didn't want to have to cart mine down there (though now I'm glad I did because my god this thing could have burned my house down). So I'll cart that home to work on.

And this reminds me I need to buy a fire extinguisher.

Also there are waves in my toilet. I watched it thinking okay that HAS to be the septic tank causing back flow (and would account for the smell). I'll call on that because they won't need inside. At 3 AM I woke in a panic attack as my brain remembered the plumbing for the bathroom is here in the spare bedroom so I'll have to clean in HERE too before I can get them to work on any inside plumbing.

I am so done.
