Since I'm totally new to this, here's hoping I don't screw this up (and thanks to all the friends who prodded me into this)

"Father, tell me again about Utah."
"I’ve told you that story many times now, Steven. Surely you’d rather hear another story."
"But you always tell that story before we go to sleep."
"Then I need to find you another story."
"Not one from the Bible, Father. Those ones...some of them frighten me."
"That is not necessarily a bad thing, Steven."
"Tell me about that place, how it’s different from here."
"Home is very different from here, Steven. Life isn’t so hard. At night, we could look up and see the stars."
"One day we’ll see those stars, I promise."

Somehow, I'm not surprised it's a Connor drabble. ;) Glad to have you on OoS too, Dana.

Love him being curious and the That is not necessarily a bad thing, Steven. line sounds like Holtz alright.

thanks. Only I don't think it posted to the list. HOw the heck do I make it do that?

It was gonna be a fanged four drable but other than Darla being strident no one else would talk

Nice drabble. Poor crazy Connor in hell.

To post to OOS, go to its user info page and click the little pencil icon at the top (next to the memories button). That will let you post to the community.

Thanks for telling me how it works. I'm hopeless with this stuff.

Glad you liked it.

Welocme to a whole new corner of madness.

Great little drabble. I can imagine Connor trying to hold on to something that seemed comforting.

Thanks. Glad you liked it. Hey did you read about VK's new movie?

Miller's Bend? Yup, Im sorta "horror/Sci-fi? Really? Really?". He didnt say anything about it at either Con, so im wondering if its actually true, but I suppose it is. *shrugs*.

Unless its not that we're talking about. :)

From: [identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com
That is what we're talking about. I was wondering if he had mentioned it at the con's but since you hadn't mentioned it I figured not. I know nothing about the source of it but they mentioned IMBD and that is and isn't always accurate if you know what I mean (it's supposed to be but I know people have put in fraudelent stuff in the past)

I considered getting up and asking, but that would mean admitting I was a net geek, in front of a room full of people. :)

I know it came from the IMBD boards, there's also the fact it mentioned him producing, and he was admant at the cons he doesnt actually want to produce or direct, which in itself doesnt prove it false, just perhaps that they've asked him, and he's said no, but if its someone's elaborate fantasy, its a fairly, well, elaborate one, I guess time will tell although im dubious.

On the one hand, I really want him to get back to work, out of my own selfish wish to see more of his work, on the other, horror/sci-fi films are rarely any good.

Yeah I have no idea what to think. If it is true, as much as I'd like to see him work, you're right, SF/Horror tends to suck. It makes me nervous about doing up my novel as a script because I can just imagine how it'll get butchered.

Still, works, work. I saw in Dreamwatch...or one of the UK mags about Joss trying to get DB into the Firefly movie...

From: [identity profile] esmerelda-t.livejournal.com
They're quite the incesteous little group, ME. :) Given its well underway with filming I think if DB was going to be in it, it'd be announced by now, there's no point trying to keep it quite, unless Universal are morons and dont want to capitilize on the fact Angel fans might see it then, when they might not otherwise, just like there was no way the WB were going to keep CC or VK's appearences in season 5 quite, or ED's in season 4, or that JM was joining in season 5.

While work is work... I dunno, he passed on Van Hesling, if your gonna sell out, you may as well do it properly and get wel paid for it, but maybe im being too quick to judge this one, perhaps its a cinematic horror masterpiece just waiting to be made, like, erm, uh, well, Near Dark was very good.... :)

Near Dark was cooooool. One of my favorite vampire movies ever.

Love your icon, BTW.

Okay Evil Little Dog's repy to this came through but NOT yours. Go figure. I can't imagine what he would have done in Van Helsing. The Friar? The Werewolf? I couldn't see him in either role. He does seem to have an adversion to big budget films in his interviews.

I actually get a little tired of ME's reusing actors. One in a while it's not so bad. Maybe it's a nice thing, loyalty in a business that doesn't have any but for some reason it bugs me and I'll be darned if I know why

Im thinking the Werewolf/brother, I can imagine someone thinking "oooh, that kid on Angel would be really good" for that, um, I cant imagine anyone thinking he'd be good as the friar, I bet you dont hear much "You know how'd make a good comic sidekick? Vincent Kartheiser!" in Hollywood. :)

Yea, he does have an aversion, but he's young and idealistic, he may realise that the occasional big budget will pay the rent, and then you can make your small movies about one legged cow herders, or whatever. :)

oh and thanks for the icon props Evil Little Dog, my friend Ginger Pig makes me a lot of VK icons, as I cant, as im lame.

Yeah I can't see him doing comedy too and yes, young and idealistic (I used to hear the same from Heath Ledger). Granted Van Helsing was pretty much stinky so I'm just as glad he wasn't in it.

*rubs hands with glee* I now eagerly await the release then of something like A Jester's Tale bwhahahaha! :) Although In RL, he's a funny guy, and when he tells a strory has a good sense of comic timing, so he'd probably be okay in a comedy, especially snarky bittersweet comedy.
